Monthly Car Rental in Dubai: Prices, Packages and Car Choices

I’m Malik, and I deal with cars in Dubai every day. One question comes up again and again at Kings Rental Cars: "I'm here for a month — should I rent, or is it already worth buying a car?"

For a one-month stay, I usually tell people to start with rental. Buying a car is never just about the purchase price. There is the search, inspection, registration, insurance, maintenance and, eventually, resale. If you are only here for a few weeks, rental keeps things much simpler.

Monthly rental works differently from taking a daily rate and multiplying it by 30. We have packages designed around how people actually use cars in Dubai.

For example, Kings Access gives you access to a category of cars rather than locking you into one vehicle. At the time of writing, the published entry package starts at AED 2,999, with higher categories at AED 8,999, AED 14,999 and AED 19,999. Flex Drive, built around 16 weekdays of driving during the month, starts at AED 3,999, followed by AED 9,999, AED 15,999, AED 21,999 and AED 29,999 depending on the category.

There is also Daily + Weekend Luxury 6+1: a practical car for six days of the week and a luxury or supercar for one day. That is why I always ask how someone plans to use the car before talking about the "best" monthly option.

For normal city life, an Audi A6, BMW 5 Series or Mercedes-Benz E-Class makes a lot of sense. If you are travelling with family or carrying a lot of luggage, I would move up to an SUV such as a Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade, Nissan Patrol or Chevrolet Tahoe. If comfort and presence matter more than anything else, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is in a different league.

Our published daily price list gives a useful benchmark: Audi A6 from AED 490 per day, BMW 5 Series from AED 800, Chevrolet Tahoe from AED 1,060 and Mercedes-Benz E300 from AED 1,065. Those are daily reference prices; for a full month, ask for a monthly quote or compare the packages.

For a Kings rental agreement, the published requirements include an international driving permit, a passport copy and a deposit. The deposit depends on the car, the driver’s age and driving experience. Rental can be paid by card or in cash in AED/USD, while the deposit is handled under the terms of the agreement.

My advice is to send your documents before you fly. We can check everything in advance instead of discovering an issue when you are already standing next to the car.

We can deliver the car in Dubai and collect it from an agreed location when the rental ends. For a month-long rental, that small detail makes life noticeably easier. Delivery to other UAE cities can also be arranged for an additional charge depending on the car and distance.

If you are in Dubai for a month, still deciding whether you will stay, or simply want to try a few different cars, rental is the obvious place to start. If you have moved here for the long term and already know exactly what you want, then buying becomes worth calculating.

Don’t choose a monthly car by looking only at the daily rate. Work out how often you will drive, whether you need an SUV, whether you want to swap cars, and whether a supercar on weekends is part of the plan. Once you know that, the right package is usually much easier to see.
