Fortunately, renting a luxury vehicle in Dubai is a straightforward process.

Most visitors simply need:

• a valid driver’s license;
• a passport;
• a visa or entry stamp (if applicable);
• an International Driving Permit when required for their country.

Requirements vary depending on where your license was issued, so it’s always worth confirming this before you travel.

Taking five minutes to verify your documents can save hours later.

One mistake first-time renters sometimes make is comparing prices without comparing what’s actually included.

Always ask questions like:

• Is insurance included?
• How many miles are included each day?
• Is roadside assistance available?
• Is delivery included?
• What happens if I arrive late?
• How is the security deposit handled?

A reputable rental company will answer every one of these questions before you sign anything.

If the answers seem vague, that’s usually a sign to keep looking.

Excitement can make people forget practical things.

When you’re standing next to your dream car, it’s tempting to grab the keys and start driving immediately.

Take your time instead.

It takes less than two minutes.

You’ll probably never need it.

But if you do, you’ll be glad you have it.

Modern luxury cars are incredibly advanced.

They also vary enormously.

Even experienced drivers sometimes need a few minutes to familiarize themselves with a new vehicle.

Before leaving, ask someone to show you:

• how to adjust the mirrors;
• how the navigation system works;
• where the drive modes are located;

• how to operate the convertible roof (if applicable);

You’ll enjoy the experience much more if you’re comfortable with the car before entering busy traffic.

Lane discipline is much better than in many major cities.

People sometimes hesitate to ask what they think are "basic" questions.

Please don’t.
