Dubai Airport Car Rental: Delivery, Pickup and Return

After a long flight, the last thing most people want is to drag their luggage to a rental office and spend another hour sorting paperwork. That is why clients often ask me whether we can arrange the car around their arrival.

With Kings Rental Cars, we can organise delivery in Dubai and agree on a convenient handover point. My preference is to settle the car, documents and timing before the client boards the flight.

Take a few minutes to walk around the car. Check the bodywork, wheels, glass and interior, and make sure any existing marks are recorded. I also like to take a quick set of photos or a short video. It takes a minute and keeps everything clear for both sides.

Kings' published rental requirements include an international driving permit, a passport copy and a deposit. Requirements can vary depending on the driver’s circumstances, so send the documents ahead of time and let the manager confirm them before the booking.

You do not necessarily have to return the vehicle to the exact place where you received it. In Dubai, we can agree on a location for our driver to collect the car at the end of the rental. Delivery or collection in another UAE city can also be discussed separately.

Send the manager the new arrival time as soon as you have it. Sharing the flight number at booking makes these situations much easier to manage.

If you are arriving with a family and several suitcases, don’t choose the car from photos alone. A coupe or supercar may be fantastic to drive and completely wrong for airport luggage. For families, I would usually look at a Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, Nissan Patrol, Range Rover or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, depending on the budget.

Arrange the rental before departure: choose the car, send the documents, agree on the handover and decide where the car will be collected. Then your Dubai trip starts with the drive, not the paperwork.
