Electric cars are becoming much more practical in Dubai. Charging infrastructure has improved, and premium EVs are now common in areas like Downtown, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and Business Bay.
For long-distance driving, the situation is better than it was a few years ago, but planning is still important.
Models such as Tesla Model X, Tesla Model S, Mercedes-Benz EQS, BMW i7, and Porsche Taycan can handle many UAE routes comfortably. The driving experience is quiet and smooth, which makes them pleasant for highway travel.
Still, for trips outside major urban areas, drivers should think ahead. Charging locations are expanding, but gas stations are still far more common than fast chargers.
For clients who mainly drive between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, a premium EV can make sense. For frequent long-distance travel across different emirates, a traditional luxury SUV may still feel easier.
